A Case of Cutaneous Larva Migrans

Abstract

|
A 58-year-old male presented with a pruritic, erythematous thread-like eruptoon the right chest, which appeared as a small papule since 6 months prior to his visit.
Histopathologic examination showed aburrow containing numerous eosinophiles and a few mononuclear cells in the epidremis. There was focal spongiosis under the burrow. In the dermis, there was a diffuse and occasionally dense perivascular and
periadnexal
inflammatory cell infiltration consistin of eosinophiles and some lymphocytes.
Multiple histologic sections were made without success in demonstrating parasitic tissue in the epidermis, however, the clinical and histopathologic features consistent with cutaneous alrva migrans.(Kor J Dermatol 1995;33(2) : 2396~400)
